We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Couples Therapist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing therapeutic support to couples experiencing relationship challenges, communication issues, or emotional distress. As a Couples Therapist, you will use evidence-based practices to help clients navigate their interpersonal dynamics, resolve conflicts, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each couple. You will work with clients from diverse backgrounds and must be sensitive to cultural, gender, and sexual orientation differences. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of relationship dynamics, and a passion for helping people improve their emotional well-being.
You will collaborate with other mental health professionals as needed and may also provide referrals to additional services when appropriate. Maintaining confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries is essential in this role. You should be comfortable working in private practice, clinics, or telehealth settings.
This position requires a master’s degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field, along with appropriate licensure to practice therapy. Specialized training or certification in couples or marriage counseling is highly desirable. Experience with various therapeutic modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a plus.
